The People

TeWaimatao (Wai) Turoa-Morgan is Maori. She was born a matakite child, with the hood (caul/bonnet) completely wrapped in a fine membrane. Wai Turoa Morgan This type of birth is not common, and is generally known by indigenous and native peoples as being born with a gift or born lucky. It is therefore believed that matakite is a birthright in one’s genes, cultivated through one’s breeding. Wai knew she was different from others, through what she termed her ‘knowing’. Before she actually realized, she could see or read thoughts or intentions of others.

Wai is known, acknowledged and recognized both nationally and internationally as a leader under the following headings Matakite/shaman/healer/wisdom teacher/councilor/spiritual advisor/mentor and life coach. Wai is invited to share her knowledge and wisdoms with many peoples in the world. As a consequence of this she spends five to six months of every year out of her country, on tour or stationed at alternative healing schools of wisdoms thru out the world mainly Europe and Asia. She is a world leader in the teachings of shamanism.

Brita Gudjons is a homeopath, pharmacist and a visionary woman. She is a highly respected producer of homeopathic medicines. In the middle of the sixties while studying pharmacy she could not even imagine herself using or selling homeopathic medicines. Brita Gudjons But becoming sick herself she started to question classical medicine and started to get interested in alternative healing methods.

A spectacular healing through 3 little globules opened to her the doorway to homeopathy. From there on she went through years of reading, learning and changing her belief system. Finally all these circumstances in her life and all the new information which came to her in a way that can be called "being led" she came to face the need for homeopathic medicines to be produced in Germany. So she started to produce homeopathic medicines herself. Because of of their special quality her medicines became very popular and well known. That was the start of what lead her to build up her own homeopathic laboratory. Her medicines are of the highest quality following the ethics of Samuel Hahnemann and her laboratory is the only one in Germany where all medicines are still produced by hand.

Dave Hegglun is a carver and a healer. If you asked Dave are you a medicine man or a master carver in stone, wood, or bone? He will more than likely be tongue-tied and say ever so quietly that you will hardly hear him say, I am none of those things, yet I guess you could say I am also all of those things. Dave Hegglun I am a human being at the same time I am spirit given to infinite possibilities and probabilities.

He enjoys walking many miles over hills in forest and the lands foraging for the wonderful medicines provided by mother earth herself. Dave makes up the most exciting medicines from all the herbs provided. He will patiently stoke a fire for 40 hours breaking the Tutu plant down with a continuous rolling boil. When all this work has been completed the miracles begin. The greatest external bone and muscle pain remover there is. If you asked him what is his passion. Don’t be surprised if he says Healing. Nature is his life and his life is nature.

Mana Aroha is Wai's second long term study program consisting of fifteen students from Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
